The Islamic State (Daesh) has accepted responsibility for the suicide attack at a wedding in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan, which has left at least 63 dead and 182 injured.

The attack occurred on Saturday night at a wedding in a hotel in the west of Kabul in the sixth security district.

The Islamic State released a statement on Telegram taking responsibility for the attack, saying the attacker was able to enter the wedding hall and detonate his explosives among the “infidels.”

Daesh warriors are active in Afghanistan and execute bloody attacks in small and big cities. Some of these attacks target the Shia minorities in Afghanistan.

Surprisingly, the Taliban has condemned this attack that also caused the death of women and children.

However, the president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, said that “Taliban can not pass on the blame of this barbaric attack, because they are the ones creating a desirable environment for terrorists.”

After the explosion, many civilians rushed to help the victims. Kabul police announced that emergency services were dispatched to the location and provided support immediately.

According to Nosrat Rahimi, the spokesperson for Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior, all the injured people have been taken to the hospitals.

Saturday night’s attack comes immediately after a mosque bombing in Pakistan where the brother of the leader of the Taliban was killed.

Last month, at least 40 people lost their lives in another suicide bombing at a wedding in Kabul.
