Human Rights Activists: Two prisoners Were Killed in Ahvaz

Human rights activists in Ahvaz have reported that two of the 22 people arrested in Ahvaz in relation to the terror attack were killed in custody.

Iran International cannot independently confirm these reports.

According to the Ahvaz Human Rights Organization, Ahmad Heidari and Adnan Savari were killed in an intelligence ministry jail in Ahvaz and their families were not allowed a public funeral.

It was reported that a relative of one of the murdered prisoners was allowed to call their family from jail and confirm their deaths. The Ahvaz Human Rights Organization has demanded an investigation into these reports and clarification by the judicial authorities and law enforcement.
