Iran International TV nominated for the “International Network of the Year” award 2019
Iran International TV has been nominated for the International Network of the Year Award 2019 by the “Association for International Broadcasting (AIB)”.
Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) is a non-profit organization established in 1993 and was formed to support television, radio, audio and online productions in any language.
Iran International has been nominated for two awards in this year's competition.
In International Network of the Year award section, Iran International is shortlisted alongside with Al Jazeera English, Al-Hurra, and CNN International.
Also in the arts and culture section, the documentary “Abdul Majid’s Goat” by Alireza Mirasadollah has been nominated from Iran International TV. This documentary competes with works which are produced in six other networks.
Abdul Majid’s Goat documentary pictures the life of a young boy who lives in a village near Agadir in Morocco. Abdul Majid family lives off producing Argan oil, the most expensive oil in the world. But they earn a small percentage of the profit. Every day, to earn more money, Abdul Majid decorates his tree with his goats and tourists pay to take photos of his goat tree. The winners will be announced at the 15th annual Gala awards in London on Wednesday, 6 November 2019.
