Eight planes are being sold to other customers

A.T.R Will Not Deliver Planes to Iran Due to Sanctions

A.T.R, the Italian-French aircraft manufacturer, is selling the remaining airplanes that Iran had bought from this company to other customers.

Alessandro Profumo, the company’s CEO told Bloomberg News that 12 planes have been delivered to Iran out of the 20 promised, and the rest are being sold to another buyer.

The contract for the purchase of 20 planes was signed in 2017.

In response, the chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly’s Development Committee, Mohammad Reza Kouchi, stated: “Iran will definitely sue A.T.R in international courts. The company has to either uphold its commitment or compensate us.”
