Iran’s New Trade Strategy with Neighbors Is to Replace the Dollar
Abdolnaser Hemmati, the governor of Iran’s central bank says that Iran’s new trade strategy is to remove dollar from Iran’s trade with the region and the world.
While referring to the agreements with Iraq, Hemmati, who had accompanied Rouhani on his trip to Iraq a few days ago, stated: A change is happening in the economic and trade relations with Iraq and other neighbors like Turkey and Afghanistan.
The governor of central bank continued: “The sanction-related restrictions in our money transfer with Iraq have complicated banking between the two countries, but we understand the conditions and restrictions of Iraq and we will use the special mechanism to move forward and receive the payments for our exports.”
According to Hemmati, the new strategy will practically defeat the U.S policy of sanctions.
