Rouhani: We Have Six Oil Export Routes Hidden from U.S
President Hassan Rouhani says that the United States’ decision to reduce Iran’s oil export to zero will not work because Iran has six routes to sell its oil of which Washington is unaware.
During a speech for a group of workers, Rouhani said: “They (Americans) will realize in the next few months that we will continue to sell oil.”
He continued: “Iran’s exports are not all done through one route, we have six other routes that Americans know nothing about.”
Without offering any more explanations about the six routes, Rouhani described the recent decision by the United States to revoke the sanction waivers as “the wrong decision and a mistake by Americans” and said: “Tehran will not allow this decision to be implemented.”
The sanction waivers for Iran’s oil customers will expire at the beginning of May, and the United States has refused to extend them for the eight customers of Iranian oil.
Rouhani added: Through these economic pressures and reducing oil exports, the Americans are trying to reduce our revenue, but with the divine will and grace we will bring America to its knees.”
Oil revenue is the largest portion of Iran’s annual budget.
