Smuggling Dollars from Afghanistan to Iran is on the Rise

Sakhi Ahmad Payman, chairman of Afghanistan Industries says the rise of the price of the dollar in Iran has caused an increase in “the smuggling of dollars from Afghanistan to Iran.”

Last week, Harat authorities reported of 13 arrests made on the charge of smuggling dollars out of the country.

According to these authorities, the arrested individuals were planning on smuggling dollars into Iran illegally.

Under current laws, take up to 10000 dollars out of the country in cash is legal, but according to the authorities, these individuals were taking more.
