Uprising of lower class is a serious possibility: Iran’s Minister of Health warns
Iran’s Minister of Health Saeed Namaki warned about the uprising of the lower class due to the economic pressure from the coronavirus crisis and announced that the police and security forces must think about preventing the uprising.
“The Ministry of Health which was supposed to tend to health and to livelihood even more than health, was ordered to keep asking the personnel to write a protocol about how to reopen the country instead of how to close it,” Namaki said on Wednesday.
“We are under sanction, and our treasury is empty because of American pressures,” He added. “The police and security forces must think about the livelihood of the people and preventing an uprising.”
Regarding the reopening of the country, Namaki said: “If we lost a lot during the coronavirus, it wasn’t because we didn’t know that reopening will increase the stats, it wasn’t because we didn’t know that the subway and buses cause a third of the new cases and we just thought we won’t face this phenomenon. It was due to weakness and kneeling to an economy that has no potential and flexibility.
He continued: If the efforts of the Ministry of Health are one day attacked, he will say things that “some minds cannot fathom”.
