30 Percent of Tenants in Disaster Areas Live on the Streets
The governor of Sarpol Zahab reported: About 30% of tenants whose houses were destroyed by the earthquake are still living on the streets in tents.
According to ILNA, Mohammad Jamalinia said that the latest statistics show that despite the Winter drawing close, many are still living in the streets. He added that everyone is participating in building houses in Kermanshah province, and “regarding the houses getting ready, I must inform you that preparing each foundation takes 28 days, so obviously rebuilding all the houses will take a long time.
He also mentioned that due to the inflation and increased rent prices, many tenants have had difficulties finding new places.
