An earthquake of 5.7 magnitudes shook Iran’s Fars province
Several earthquakes on Tuesday night hit the south of Fars province led to the destruction of some houses and caused damage to several others especially in rural areas. There have been nor reports yet on the number of casualties in this province and emergency forces in several towns are in high alert.
At least seven earthquakes were reported in southern Fars province on Tuesday night with the strongest at the magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale. The center of the earthquake was 22 km outside the town of Beyram at the depth of 10 km.
The governor of Fars province announced that after these earthquakes, all the emergency forces in southern areas of the province.
Governor of Larestan city also reported that the earthquakes broke electric posts and some older houses and walls were destroyed.
Governor of Garash reported some damages in his city and said so far no casualties have been reported. The earthquake caused a blackout in some areas which was late fixed.
