IRGC Holds Drill as U.S Aircraft Career Enters Persian Gulf
The IRGC ground forces held a military drill in Qeshm Island. The “The Greatest Prophet” drill was held almost at the same time as the USS John C. Stennis aircraft career enters the Persian Gulf.
Mohammad Pakpour, the commander of IRGC ground forces told reporters that they have achieved all their goals in this military exercise.
Pakpour stated that “our principle and strategy is defensive, but on the operation and tactical level, it is aggressive. The best defense is attack and aggression because when an enemy has intentions about us, we have to attack it because our attack would be the best preventive measure.”
After the aircraft career and its escorts entered the Persian Gulf, they were followed by IRGC small boats.
Since the U.S sanctions against the Islamic Republic went into effect, the regime’s authorities have threatened that if the U.S actually doesn’t allow Iran to export any oil, they will block the Strait of Hormuz.
