IRGC: We Will Turn Persian Gulf into a Swamp for Americans
Alireza Tangsiri, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, said that if the enemy continues to miscalculate in the Persian Gulf, we will turn the Persian Gulf into Gavkhuni Swamp (A famous swamp in Isfahan province) for them.
He continued: “If our enemies make any mistake in the Persian Gulf, we will repeat the Bay of Pigs incident for them.”
According to Tangsiri, “the presence of enemy battleships, due to their nuclear fuel, can create an ecological catastrophe.” He explained: “The Persian Gulf is 250 thousand square kilometers and it’s a closed off gulf. They don’t bring these ships into their own gulfs because nuclear fuel creates ecological problems.”
Tangsiri added: “We don’t have our eye on any country, because we have a country with seas on both sides and rich natural resources.
Previously, when the USS John C. Stanis entered the Persian Gulf at the same time as an IRGC military exercise, it received some reactions from the Iranian military officials. Some called it insignificant and others said it is a response to IRGC's new Sahand Destroyer.
