Chairman of Iran Action Group

Brian Hook: It is Time to Stop Iran’s Destructive Behavior

Today, in a speech in Hudson University in Washington CD, Brian Hook, the chairman of “Iran Action” group emphasized the Whitehouse decision on putting more severe sanctions on Iran. In his speech, Hook said that the United States is after stopping Iran’s oil export. Hook accused Tehran of supporting terrorism in the region and said the United States is aiming to take away Tehran’s financial resources for missile program development, supporting militias and cyber-attacks.

Parts of Hook’s speech:

  • The United States holds the Islamic Republic responsible for any attacks on the life of American citizens.
  • The Secretary of State has started a campaign to put more pressure on Tehran. We will use all our power to enforce the sanctions.
  • We added five more people to the list of sanctions who helped to send missile parts to Iran.
  • We are trying to bring Iran’s oil export down to zero so Iran would lose its financial resources for its adventures.
  • Either Iran will lose all its economy or will be forced to cooperate with the international community. We will work with our allies to force Iran to stop its military expansions.
  • We will stop Tehran’s desire for accessing nuclear weapons.
  • We tell everyone that the Iranian people are the primary victims of the Islamic Republic’s tyranny.
  • We have a full plan to stop the Islamic Republic, and we ask them to act like a normal country.
  • It is time to stop Iran’s destructive behavior.
  • The Islamic Republic knows we have a lot of space to push back against their actions in the region. We have a lot of evidence about the missiles, and on one of them “Shaheed Bokhari” is written in Persian.
  • Some countries want to limit the negotiations to the missile program. We want a peaceful middle east and for that, we need to stop Iran.
  • We are in constant communication with our allies in the region whose concerns about Iran’s ballistic missile program increases every day.
  • Not including the ballistic missile program in the JCPOA was a big mistake.
  • We are looking for a multifaceted agreement with Iran. The last agreement was not that. We want to reach a long-term and stable agreement with Iran which will also include the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
  • Iran is a threat to world peace and stability and we will work with other countries to stop them.
  • 170 companies have announced their plan to leave Iran.
