Ahmadinejad Applies for a Demonstration Permit

In a letter to the State Ministry, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the former president of Iran asked for a permit for a demonstration in protest to the economic conditions of the country.

Ahmadinejad has asked for the demonstration to be held in Tehran.

Recently, in response to a question regarding the Judiciary’s hesitation in prosecuting Ahmadinejad, Gholamhossein Mohseni Eje’I, the spokesperson for the Judiciary reassured the press that the judiciary will prosecute Ahmadinejad, and that “it is not a matter of whether or not, but when.”
