Ahvaz Steelworkers Protests Continues; Riot Police Interferes

Ahvaz Steelworkers continued their protests for the 37th day and announced their demands again.

They were planning on protesting in front of the house of the Friday prayer Imam of Ahvaz, Ayatollah Jazayeri, but the riot police interfered and blocked their path.

The video reports show the workers chanting: “We will stand and take what is our right” and “They talk about religion, but they brag about stealing”.

Some of the workers announced that if their demands are not met, they will travel to Tehran to continue their protest there.

The main problem of the workers is that they have not been paid their salary for several months now, and despite all their promises, the authorities have not yet paid them what they are owed.
