Ayatollah Kermani, the Friday Prayer Imam of Tehran Declares

All Branches of Government Must Obey the Supreme Leader

The Friday prayer Imam of Tehran, Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani, stated in his sermon that the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic is “the true deputy of the Messiah”.

He added: “The Messiah (Imam Mahdi, 12th Imam of Shias) rules the government according to Islam, and the supreme leader does the same. The heads of three branches of government must obey the supreme leader and design their plans under his supervision. The deputy of the messiah oversees and decides the main policies of the regime.”

In another part of his speech, Kermani said: “When the price of foreign currency was rising, the price of everything increased, but now that the currency prices have dropped, there is no sign of lower prices of goods and prices have risen even more.”

The Friday prayer Imams are chosen by a council which is appointed by the supreme leader, and they are considered to be the direct voices of the supreme leader in every city across the country.
