The Appeal Request Denied for the Founder of Mysticism of Circle

The supreme court denied the appeal request of Mohammad Ali Taheri, the prisoner of thought. Mr. Taheri who has been incarcerated in Evin prison since eight years ago for blasphemy charges has now received 5 more years in prison for “spreading corruption on earth”.

The Islamic Revolutionary Court with the help of IRGC’s Sarallah Headquarters (in creating a case against Taheri) has sentenced Taheri to death on two occasions, which were overturned each time by the supreme court.

Last month, the Commission on International Religious Freedom added Mohammad Ali Taheri to the list of ideological and religious prisoners project and called his case an example of the Islamic Republic’s disregard for human rights.

The ideological and religious prisoners project follows up on the conditions of individuals who have been imprisoned in different countries for exercising their religious or ideological freedoms.
