IRGC commander: We will respond in other countries
Mohammad Ali Jafari, the commander of IRGC forces said: “Trump is wrong in his assumption that Iran has become weaker since the beginning of his administration.”
The commander of IRGC told the Almasirah TV that if Iran’s security is threatened, “we will not hesitate to respond to it outside of our borders.”
Jafari added: “If previously we had the ability to defend, and not to take over, south-west Asia in 12 minutes, this time has now been shortened.”
He was referring to president Trump’s recent speech in which he said when he came to power, “Iran was able to take over the entire middle east in 12 minutes.”
In another part of the interview, Jafari mentioned the “axis of resistance in the region” and said that “after the war in Syria and Iraq, the resistance front has become stronger”.
He continued: Iran will “resist until the annihilation of the Zionist Regime (Israel) and we are now closer than ever to their annihilation.”
Previously, Hossein Salami, Jafari’s deputy had also said that Iran does not plan on occupying the middle east, but “we can rid the middle east of the great Satan in less than 12 minutes.”
