Denmark Arrests Three Al-Ahvaziya Members
Denmark police announced that they have arrested three members of the “Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz” on the suspicion of a terrorist attack in Ahvaz.
According to the New York Times, Denmark police announced that the members of this group commonly known in Iran as “Al Ahvazieh”, have violated the laws of the country. They might be fined and sentenced to two years in prison.
Among the arrested is Yaghoub Hor Tostari, the speaker of the group.
After the September 22nd attack on a military parade in Ahvaz, the Islamic Republic authorities claimed this group to be the culprit. However, ISIS took responsibility for the attack.
Recently, the Danish intelligence service announced that they have arrested and Iranian-Norwegian who was gathering intel for an attack on the Al Ahvazieh members in Denmark. Denmark announced that the Islamic Republic intelligence was behind this attack.
After this revelation, Denmark recalled its ambassador from Tehran and asked the European Union for sanctions on the Islamic Republic. The Scandinavian foreign ministers also released a joint statement condemning the attempted attack by the Islamic Republic.
Islamic Republic authorities deny this allegation and claim that this is an Israeli/Zionist plot to cause friction between Iran and Europe.
