Mohammad Reza Naghdi, the cultural deputy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says that the United States is in a “downward spiral” and war with this country is “the most peaceful” solution and "death to America" is the "most peaceful slogan in the world".

In his speech on the anniversary celebration of the attack on the American embassy and the hostage-taking, Naghdi said: “Fighting the United States and war with the United States is the most peaceful thing that nations can do, because the main axis of evil must be destroyed, otherwise we have to witness wars and dictatorships every day, just like during the previous regime.”

The anniversary of the hostage-taking is celebrated each year by the regime. Donald Trump has chosen this anniversary as the deadline for the new round of sanctions.
