Hajizadeh: U.S Claims About Disrupting Iran’s Missile System Are False
The commander of IRGC’s aerospace force described the United States’ claim about “infiltrating and disrupting Iran’s missile system” as “more than a lie” and a “huge scandal”.
According to Tasnim, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of IRGC aerospace force said on Tuesday: “The enemy was trying to infiltrate our weapons system by sending certain equipment and parts. But Tehran realized it and used it to its benefit.”
Previously, the New York Times had claimed that the United States is involved in highly classified operations to disrupt Iran’s missile program. In its February 13 report, the New York Times claimed that the United States is trying to send fake equipment and parts to Iran through international dealers in order to cause technical issues for Iranian missiles.
Iran recently had two failed satellite launches. One on January 15 and one just two weeks ago.
Amir Ali Hajizadeh also claimed that Iran has been able to gain control of American spy planes flying over Syria and Iraq, and through them “gain first-hand information about ISIS and their capabilities.”
Hajizadeh also claimed that “they (Americans) wanted to start a 30-year war against us”, but Iran was able to neutralize their plan.
