IHR: Send an International Delegation to Investigate Iranian Prisons

Iran Human Rights Organization asked the international community to send a special delegation to Iran to investigate the conditions of ideological prisoners.

While referring to the death of Vahid Sayadi Nasiri in prison due to a hunger strike, Mahmoud Amiri Moghadam, the spokesperson for the organization said: “We demand a special delegation to investigate the conditions of ideological prisoners in Iran.”

He continued: “The responsibility of Nasiri’s death and the conditions of other prisoners falls on the supreme leader Ali Khamenei, and he must be held responsible.”

Nasiri was on hunger strike in protest to the terrible conditions of the prison. He was 38 when he passed away.

Nasiri had been arrested several times before. He was last sentenced to 4.5 years in prison on the charges of propaganda against the regime and insulting the supreme leader.
