Iran Forbids the Export of Drugs and Medical Equipment
The spokesperson for Iran’s Food and Drugs Organization announced that the export of any drugs or medical equipment without a permit from this organization is now illegal.
On Saturday, Kianoush Jahanpour told ISNA that the priority for drugs and medical equipment is domestic use, and any export in this field must be approved by the Food and Drugs Organization.
In response to the approaching deadline of the new round of U.S. sanctions against the Islamic Republic, he added: “Nothing will happen on November 4th or afterward. The Americans have done everything they could in the last few months, so we don’t expect anything new to happen on November 4th.”
The New U.S. sanctions on the Islamic Republic will target oil and gas export.
Brian Hook, chairman of Iran Action Group, said last month that the goal of the sanctions is not to impact humanitarian trades like food or medicine, and the Islamic Republic authorities are lying to the Iranian people about the sanctions.
