Iranian Boxer and Coach Will Not Return to Iran

After her first official match and win, Iranian boxer Sadaf Khadem and her coach Mahyar Monshipour have decided not to return to Iran from France.

In a phone interview with Iran International, Monshipour said that after hearing news about the possibility of his arrest in Iran, he has decided not to return to the country. After his decision, Sadaf Khadem has also decided to stay with her coach and not return to Iran.

According to Monshipour, two training courses that he had planned in Bijar and Bam cities have been canceled by the ministry of sports.

Monshipour, who is a well-known Iranian-French champion, traveled to Iran after the Bam earthquake, and founded a training facility with the help of UNESCO, in which he had planned to offer a training course.  The courses were canceled by the ministry of sports.
