Larijani: The Enemy is Using the Worker Protests

Sadegh Larijani, the chief of Islamic Republic Judiciary, believes that “the enemy” is trying to use “the workers’ demands as a tool” in Iran.

According to Mizan, Larijani said that the workers’ problems have two aspects, one is “the enemy taking advantage of some shortcomings”. He continued: “Those who try to use the workers’ struggle for their gain and infiltrate the workers and disrupt the national order under the cover of workers’ demands, will be punished.”

The chief of judiciary stated that “riots, crisis, and acts against public order” do not get results. He suggested that workers should come to a logical understanding with the contractors and the government and the judiciary.” Disrupting “the order of the country for these demands “is unacceptable”.

Over the last three weeks, the Haft-Tappeh workers have been protesting the fact that they have not received their salaries for four months; several of them were arrested, and most were later released.
