Molaverdi: We Failed to Pass Any Bills for Women

Shahindokht Molaverdi, former vice president of women’s affairs for president Rouhani says the biggest failure of the Rouhani government was “failing to pass a single bill for women in the parliament.”

Molaverdi, who resigned from her post two months ago due to the recent ban on retirees working for the government, said the reason for this failure was that women’s field is politicized.

She had also criticized the bill that banned retirees from working in the government.

In August 2018, Molaverdi had criticized the meddling of the judiciary and law enforcement in the affairs of the executive branch.
