Netanyahu’s Response to Iran’s Failed Satellite Launch

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel said that Iran’s goal from launching this satellite was testing ballistic missiles.

Iran announced the launch of Payam satellite today and reported that the launch was unsuccessful, and the satellite was not placed in orbit.

Israeli prime minister said that Iran has violated all international agreements by testing ballistic missiles.

In recent days Islamic Republic’s plan to launch a satellite received negative responses from western countries. The American government considers this launch as a violation of resolution 2231 of the United Nations’ Security Council.

Mike Pompeo, the state secretary of the United States warned the Islamic Republic that if they do not stop their controversial missile program, they will become even more economically and diplomatically isolated. The spokesperson for the French ministry of foreign affairs also asked the Islamic Republic on Friday, January 11th to stop all activities regarding ballistic missiles that can carry nuclear warheads.
