Nobakht: Oil Export is Facing Unprecedented Serious Problems
Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, head of Plan and Budget Organization said that in the current Persian year, we had predicted exporting 2410 thousand barrels of oil per day, and $47 billion income for the year, but since “we are facing serious problems in this field,” currently “we are very far from the predicted budget.”
Nobakht continued: “In order to export oil we need to use ships, but our shipping industry is also sanctioned. We need to ensure oil tankers, but our insurance companies are also sanctioned.”
He asked the importers and exporters to stand by the government so they can pass safely through “the unfamiliar difficult conditions that are unprecedented in the country’s history.”
He claimed the current problems of the country are not due to mismanagement but “cruelty and unreasonableness of the enemy” and claimed that good steps have been taken to remove the sanctions but the problem is “today we are facing an ominous America and we see that Trump has even caused problems for his own country and their government has shut down.”
Regarding the challenges of exporting oil, he continued: “Whoever we talk to, the enemy threatens them and prevents them from working with us.”
He also mentioned that despite Tehran's efforts, the European Special-Purpose Vehicle for trade with Iran has not been established yet.
