President Rouhani: Israel Is a Cancerous Tumor
Hassan Rouhani, president of the Islamic Republic said Iran will defend the interest of Saudi Arabian people against terrorism and superpowers the same way it did for Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen. He also said that buying weapons from the United States does not guarantee Saudi Arabia’s safety.
According to ISNA, Rouhani criticized Saudi Arabia for buying weapons from the United States and told them not to be afraid of Iran and Islam. He also claimed that the Islamic Republic is ready to defend Saudi Arabian people’s interest the same way it does for other countries of the region. He added: “We don’t want $450 billion dollars and we won’t insult you. We consider you our brothers.”
He also criticized the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in Saudi Arabian consulate in Tukey and said: “Muslims are being killed by people who claim to guard the religion.”
Rouhani called Israel the “cancerous tumor” which was an “ominous result” of world war 2.
