Rouhani’s Financial Adviser is Not Allowed to Leave the Country
Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ezhe'I, spokesman for the Islamic Republic Supreme Court, announced that the former governor of the central bank of Iran, Hassan Rouhani's monetary and financial adviser, Valiollah Seif, is barred from leaving the country.
In a news conference on Sunday, September 23rd, Ezhe'I said that Seif’s case "is under deliberation and investigation". He added: "Seif has been investigated once before and if necessary he will be investigated again, there are the central bank and non-central bank employees involved in this case. He is barred from leaving the country.

Referring to the terrorist attack on Saturday in Ahwaz, the spokesman for the Supreme Court said: "The State Department, the Judiciary Deputy of Human Rights, the legal assistant to the executive branch, and the Attorney General of the country " are trying "to deliver individuals associated with this terrorist group to the judiciary."
Four Ministry of Industry employees arrested in the car import case
In response to a question about the car import scandal, Ezhe'I said that in this case, four of the Ministry of Industry employees were arrested, but their cases did not go to court. He added: "The Minister of Industry himself has acknowledged the violations and said that they had informed some institutions about them, but they did not inform the judiciary."
The defense attorneys in financial corruption cases must also be approved by the judiciary
Mohseni-Ezhe'I in response to a question regarding the list of 20 lawyers approved by the Supreme Court, said that making this list was not “suggested” by the judiciary, even though Article 48 and its amendment states that the attorneys must be approved by the judiciary in national security cases" and that he believed attorneys in financial corruption cases fall under this category.
Environmental activists case goes to court for up to 2 weeks
Referring to the cases of the arrested environmental activists as "complicated" and "time consuming", Ezhe’i said that "the indictment was issued ten days ago, but by the request of the prosecutor, it was recalled in order to resolve the ambiguities. Some of the relevant authorities have commented on it. The case will probably go to court for up to 2 weeks."

In response to a question regarding the case of the singer, Amirhossein Maghsoudloo (Tataloo), and his recent blasphemous rants abroad, Ezhe’I said: "If an Iranian citizen, whether inside the country or abroad, commits a crime, he can be prosecuted. "The defendant is currently unavailable" and if necessary, "the defendant will be tried in absentia, or we can wait until the defendant himself or his lawyer are present.
