Rouhani: First Round of Food Support Packages Are Coming

Hassan Rouhani, the president of the Islamic Republic announced that the first round of food support packages will be distributed among people this month.

According to ISNA, on Saturday, November 10, after a joint session with the heads of other branches of government, Rouhani announced that the first food support packages will be distributed among people who are under “more pressure” and have more problems.

Rouhani announced that the distribution of food support packages “will be repeated several times until the end of the year” in order to resolve “some of the problems that people are facing.”

Previously, Mohammad Shariatmadari, minister of jobs had explained that these packages “will be in the form of payments into the bank account of the head of the household as a subsidy.”

Rouhani also added that “we have no problem in producing essential goods and importing essential goods and medicine.”
