According to Hadi Darafshi, deputy of support and provincial coordination at the residency foundation, recent floods in Iran have destroyed over 25000 houses across the country.

He continued: “Over 60 thousand residences who faced the flood require repairs.”

The recent floods in Iran caused serious damage to residentials, agriculture, and industries in provinces of Mazandaran, Golestan, North Khorasan, Gilan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Sistan and Baluchistan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Fars, and Khuzestan.

The governor of Khuzestan announced that 27 villages facing immediate threat have been evacuated. According to the governor, due to the increasing rain, the flow rate of Kharkheh river has increased from 900 cubic meter per second to 1900 cubic meter per second. According to local officials, 90 percent of province’s reserves are full.

 In Golestan province, the explosions by the IRGC continue. The Revolutionary Guard is destroying roads and railroads to help drain the waters in Gorgan valley. The IRGC claims these efforts are helping to drain the water, but President Rouhani criticized the destruction of roads and railroad.
