Iran Was Accused of Cyber Attack on Britain’s Key Infrastructure
Iran was identified as the key suspect of the last December’s cyber attacks on Britain’s infrastructure. During these attacks, key government and national information were stolen.
According to Sky News, during these attacks which happened on December 23, 2018, many public organizations, banks, government institutions, and national networks in Britain were attacked and sensitive information was stolen.
Based on the report, private information of the employees of these institutions was stolen along with their email addresses and their phone numbers.
The investigation by cybersecurity experts concludes that a group connected to the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) were responsible for this attack and also the attack on Britain’s parliament network in 2017.
According to Sky News, in the attack on Britain’s parliament network in 2017, over 10 thousand documents were stolen, among them the address and contact information of international corporations.
