Several Iranian Soldiers Kidnapped on Mirjaveh Border

Edalat News, the Telegram channel of the Jaish Ul-Adl group, published a message taking responsibility for the kidnapping of several Iranian border forces and some Basij (the IRGC militia) members on Mirjaveh border.

The national TV had previously reported that on Tuesday morning several border forces were kidnapped in Mirjaveh.

According to the latest reports, 7 kidnapped individuals were members of Basij, 5 were border forces of Mirjaveh, and 2 were Revolutionary Guard Intelligence officers. They were kidnapped between 4 to 5 am on Tuesday near Lulakdan border zero area.

The message attributed to Jaish Ul-Adl says that soon they will release more information on the operation against the Islamic Republic’s military forces.

The Lulakdan area is part of Rig Malek, 50 kilometers from Mirjaveh.

There have been previous altercations between Iranian forces and members of Jaish Ul-Adl in Mirjaveh. In June this year, several troops were killed in a firefight between the two forces.

Jaish Ul-Adl claims that its goal in Sistan and Baluchistan province is “defending the rights of Sunnis”.
