Ayatollah Kashani: America was Defeated in Syria
Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, the Friday prayer Imam of Tehran said the reason the United States is pulling out of Syria is that they were “defeated by Syria”.
According to ISNA, Kashani said: “The courage and bravery of the defenders of the shrine (IRGC forces and subsidiaries in Syria) forced America to leave Syria.”
According to Kashani: “If you don’t stop these thugs, they will devour the world.”
He continued: “America and its allies and its stupid milking cow in Saudi Arabia will be shamed and destroyed while empty handed.”
President Trump announced on Wednesday that ISIS has been defeated so the U.S armed forces will leave Syria in 60 to 100 days.
The United States has close to 2000 soldiers in Syria, mainly in the Northern part of the country where they cooperated closely with Kurdish troops.
Many believe the resignation of General Mattis is related to this decision by the president.
