Rouhani orders third stage of nuclear compliance scale-down

President Hassan Rouhani ordered the third stage of Iran’s scale-down in compliance with its commitments to the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. The order will go into effect on Friday, September 6.

Rouhani announced this order at the press conference after the meeting of the heads of the three branches of government on Wednesday.

Based on the order, the Islamic Republic will use new generation of centrifuges which were forbidden under the JCPOA.

President Rouhani continued: “All the restrictions on research and development will be lifted and we will witness more research and development in the field of centrifuges.”

Ali Larijani, the speaker of the parliament of the Islamic Republic also said: “In the third stage, with the installation of the new generation of centrifuges, we will witness massive developments in Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.”

“The third stage is very important for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and its result will lead to Iran’s quick reaction in this matter.”
