Shahbazi: Israel has infiltrated the Islamic Republic’s intelligence apparatus
Abdollah Shahbazi, a researcher and historian close to the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic Ali Khamenei, reported that Israeli intelligence agencies have infiltrated Islamic Republic’s intelligence and security apparatus and claimed that the person responsible in the case of the assassinated nuclear scientists has fled to Israel.
“Some rumors indicate that the person responsible for the case of assassinated nuclear scientists, who also made and broadcasted the controversial documentary “Terror Club” based on the forced confessions of those arrested including Maziar Ebrahimi, has now fled to Israel,” Shahbazi wrote in his Telegram channel.
He continued: “The question is why aren’t the responsible officials report on this and instead prefer to blame this and that and cover up some of the inexplicable Intelligence actions.”
“Is Israel’s infiltration so deep that they prefer not to destroy the public trust in our intelligence apparatus, so they refuse to accept that Israel or any other place has had some influence in this system and some of the actions were dictated by the enemy?” Shahbazi asks.
Maziar Ebrahimi and several others were arrested in the late 2000s and early 2010s on the suspicion of involvement in the “assassination of nuclear scientists” and were released several years later. Maziar Ebrahimi who has immigrated to Germany has revealed that he and several other suspects were severely tortured, threatened, and kept in solitary confinements for months so that they would agree to videotaped confessions.
As a result of those forced confessions, the state TV broadcasted a documentary named “Terror Club” in which Ebrahimi and others talked about their experience and training in Israel. It has been proven now that all those confessions were the Islamic Republic’s prepared scenario and untrue.
After the spokesperson for the government officially confirmed that the previous government was responsible for the torture and forced confessions, the question has been raised among a section of the Islamic Republic officials, that if Maziar Ebrahimi and others were innocent, who is actually responsible for the assassinations of nuclear scientists.
Some members of the parliament have raised the question about the truth of Ebrahimi’s claims, but the Minister of Intelligence has not answered any questions yet.
Shahbazi’s comments are made one year after Israel’s massive acquisition of Islamic Republic’s classified nuclear documents when Prime Minister Netanyahu revealed over “half a ton of evidence including 55000 documents on 183 CDs regarding project Emad, a classified nuclear research project in Iran.”
At first, the Islamic Republic officials did not respond to Israel’s claims and accusations, but later the attorney general of Iran implicitly confirmed that Israel has infiltrated the Intelligence apparatus and has acquired classified documents.
