Iraq Joins the Sanctions Against the Islamic Republic

According to Reuters, in accordance with the sanctions against Iranian oil, Iraq will deny passage to Iranian trucks and tankers carrying crude oil.

On Thursday, October 25th, Adel Abdul Mahdi, the new prime minister of Iraq said in regard to the United States Sanctions against the Islamic Republic, our priority will be our independence and our national interest.

In a press conference, Mr. Abdul Mahdi said: “We want to make sure that other countries, whether neighbors or others, will not meddle in our domestic affairs.”
