ISIS: The Ahvaz Attack Will Not be the Last Attack on Iran

In a new audio message, the spokesman for the group known as ISIS has suggested that the attack on the military parade in Ahvaz will not be the last attack of this group on Iran.

In a recorded message released on ISIS Telegram channel on Wednesday, September 26th, Abul-Hassan Al-Muhajir, the spokesman for ISIS, says: “Allah willing Ahvaz will not be the last Attack.”

He also said: “Soldiers of the Caliphate have proven how fragile the security of this magus country is” (Magus is an Arabic derogatory term for Iranians).

On Saturday, September 22nd, there was a terror attack on the Islamic Republic’s military parade in Ahvaz on the anniversary of the start of the Iran-Iraq war, for which ISIS took responsibility. The attack left 25 dead and 60 injured. The Revolutionary Guard has declared that it will take revenge, the ministry of intelligence has so far arrested 22 people.

ISIS had threatened Iran last year. After the attacks on the Islamic Consultative Majlis and the shrine of Ayatollah Khomeini in the Spring of 2017, ISIS took responsibility and announced that they plan on staying in Iran.
