Kushner in Israel for the “Deal of the Century”
As the Islamic Republic officials in Iran attack the “Deal of the Century”, Jared Kushner, the senior middle east advisor to President Trump enters Israel.
Kushner arrived in Israel on Wednesday to talk with Benjamin Netanyahu, in a series of deliberations with the middle eastern leaders.
These deliberations, also known as the “Deal of the Century” is part of the groundwork for the U.S plan for peace between Israel and Palestine.
Kushner has worked on this plan for over two years. It was announced that the plan will be revealed after Ramadhan.
At the same time, Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic said the goal of the plan is to make the Palestinian issue obsolete.
The commander in chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the leader of Hezbollah of Lebanon, Iran’s largest proxy in the region, have also condemned the plan.
Kushner previously visited Jordan and met with King Abdullah the Second. In their meeting, King Abdullah expressed concerns about the details of the plan.
U.S diplomats are trying to gain the support of the middle eastern leaders before revealing the plan in an economic workshop in Manamah near the end of June.
Kushner’s trip to Israel comes at a time when the country’s parliament has not been able to form a coalition government under Netanyahu, and last night it voted for reelection in September.
