Mogherini: We Agree with U.S Regarding Iran’s Missile Program
Federica Mogherini, the head of foreign policy of the EU said that the European Union disagrees with the United States over some issues such as the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), but we share the United States’ concerns regarding Tehran missile program.
Regarding her absence from the Warsaw summit, Mogherini stated: “I am currently in Brussels to attend the NATO summit. The U.S secretary of state will also arrive in Brussels for some meetings. Just as we agree with the U.S on some issues, we disagree on the Iran nuclear deal."
On Thursday, the last day of the Warsaw summit, U.S Vice President Mike Pence criticized Europe for helping the Islamic Republic and creating a divide between Europe and the United States.
The European countries have repeatedly asked the Islamic Republic to stop its missile program. In a joint statement on February 5th, the EU expressed its concerns regarding Iran’s missile program and the increased number of missile tests. Three days after the statement, IRGC aerospace force revealed its new 1000 Km range missiles.
