Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Respond to Iran’s Accusations
Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the foreign minister of Pakistan asked the Iranian authorities to provide any evidence that they have regarding their claims that Pakistani security forces are protecting Jaish Ul-Adl group in this country.
He made these comments in a joint press conference with Adel Aljobir, the foreign affairs minister of Saudi Arabia, Adel Al-Jubeir.
Yesterday, Mohammad Ali Jafari, the commander of IRGC accused Saudi Arabia and Emirates of supporting the suicide bombing in Zahedan by Jaish Ul-Adl group in which 27 IRGC members were killed.
Ali Larijani, the speaker of Majlis (Islamic Republic of Iran’s parliament) also demanded Pakistani officials to accept responsibility.
In the press conference, Adel Al-Jubeir responded: “We are surprised that Iran, the leader of terrorists, is making these objections.” He emphasized his country’s commitment to fighting terrorism.
During the press conference, the foreign minister of Pakistan thanked Saudi Arabia for its $20 billion investment in Pakistan in the fields of agriculture, oil, and culture.
Besides the suicide attack, the issue of the kidnapped IRGC intelligence and Basij members in September has not been resolved either. Jaish Ul-Adl had also take responsibility for that attack.
