Iran will exceed the nuclear deal limit for uranium enrichment in 10 days
The spokesperson for Iran’s Atomic Energy organization announced that the countdown for exceeding the 300kg nuclear deal limit for enrichment of uranium has begun.
Kamalvandi stated: “We have quadrupled the rate of enrichment and even increased it more recently, so that in 10 days it will bypass the 300 kg limit.”
In ten days, Iran’s ultimatum to Europe regarding their compliance to the JCPOA will reach its deadline.
Kamalvandi warned Europe: "Iran's reserves are every day increasing at a more rapid rate. And if it is important for them (Europe) to safeguard the accord, they should make their best efforts. ... As soon as they carry out their commitments, things will naturally go back to their original state."
He also said Iran’s assessment is that the Europeans “cannot” or “don’t want to” confront U.S and comply with their commitments to the nuclear deal.
After Iran issued the ultimatum, the European Union issued a statement regarding its compliance to the JCPOA and rejecting Iran’s ultimatum.
Kamalvandi warned that the Islamic Republic’s patience has run out and “will not wait anymore”.
President Trump and Secretary Pompeo have repeatedly stated that they will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
