Larijani: Russia has the Right to put S300 Missile Defense in Syria
The speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Islamic Republic’s Parliament), Ali Larijani, said: “Russia has the right to put S300 missile defense in Syria to defend its interests.”
In an interview with Russia Today (RT), he was asked about Israel’s decision to attack Russia’s S300 missile defense system in Syria, and he responded: “I do not believe that Israelis would be able to do anything serious about it.”
The Islamic Republic and Russia are the main allies of Assad’s regime, and Tehran has consistently supported Russian military operations against Assad’s opposition. The Islamic Republic and Russia refer to Assad’s opposition groups as “terrorists”.
